Two In Court For Car Theft
Two middle aged men have been dragged to a Port Harcourt Chief Magistrate Court for stealing a Nissan Sunny Car.
The accused persons, Boniface Olumosor, 30, and Promise Onwuzo, 37 are standing trial on a two court charge of robbery and conspiracy before a Chief Magistrate Court presided over by E.C. Woke.
The prosecuting police officer, sergeant Adiari Idafi told the court that the accused persons and others now at large on the 30th of May, 2011 at Ozistras at Mgbuosimini village in Rumueme, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state within the Port Harcourt magisterial District did conspire among themselves to commit felony to wit: Robbery.
The police prosecutor further told the court that the accused persons on the same date and time robbed a Nissan sunny car with registration number CW 717PHC valued at Four Hundred Thousand Naira (N400,000) why property of one Henderson Hart.
He stated that the accused persons committed an offence punishable under section 516 (A) and 402(1) Cap 38 Vol. II laws of Rivers State 1999.
The presiding Chief Magistrate E.C Woke remanded the accused persons to prison custody.
The accused persons were fist arraigned on July, 25 2012 before the subsisting date. The case was later adjourned to October 12, 2012 for mention.
