TUC Mourns Bayelsa Chairman’s Death

The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC), Rivers State
council, has commiserated with the organised labour in Bayelsa State over the
untimely death of the TUC State Chairman, Comrade Ayibaitiri Yekorogha.

Comrade Chika Onuegbu, state chairman of TUC in a statement
said the organised labour in Nigeria had losst a rare gem, a dedicated and
committed mobiliser within the labour movement in Nigeria.

He said “Comrade Yekorogha was a great mobiliser who was
committed to the cause of the labour movement not only in Bayelsa State but
indeed in the larger Nigeria’s society”.

“The organised labour certainly will missed the contributions, organisational strategies and mobilisational abilities of our dear Comrade Yekorogha in South-South geopolitical zone of the country”, he said.

Until his death, Comrade Ayibaitiri Yekorogha was the
National Auditor of Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) and
state chairman TUC Bayelsa State who died on August 5, 2012 in Bayelsa State.
