The member representing Port Harcourt Federal Constituency II in the House of Representatives, Mrs Blessing Nsiegbe has commended The Tide newspaper for its robust coverage of the activities of the Rivers State Government.

Hon. Nsiegbe who made the commendation during a familiarisation visit to The Tide in Port Harcourt yesterday, said she was proud to be associated with The Tide as it has with its limited resources performed brilliantly.

She also stated her readiness to partner with the corporation and urged it to carry its host community along, particularly in areas of employment and showcasing the rich culture of the people.

Commiserating with the corporation over the fire incident that gulfed its administrative building, she was happy that no life was lost, adding that but for God’s intervention it could have been more disastrous.

In his speech, the General Manager of the corporation, Mr Celestine Ogolo described her visit as rare, saying that she had done a lot for Constituency through legislation and other schemes like the women empowerment scheme.

Also speaking, the Editor of The Tide, Mr Soye Jamabo lauded Hon. Nsiegbe and other legislators representing Rivers State for making Rivers people proud by not belonging to the unpopular side of history in the lower chamber of parliament.
