OUR ERROR
On Page 19 of The Tide of Wednesday, July, 25, 2012 we published that the Rivers State government has spent N30bn, so far, on the Greater Port Harcourt City Development and has also built 3,000 housing units, ready for use, at the Igbwuruta axis of the city.
We have been informed by the Authority that the N30bn represents the total amount it has so far received from the government between 2009 and now and with which it has been developing the new city. Also, the 3,000 housing units mentioned in the story is what the authority plans to build in Phase one of the master plan.
We sincerely regret the error.
