ONOLGA Football Boss Pledges To Deliver Gov’s Cup
The newly appointed Technical Director of ONOLGA Football
team of Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area of Rivers State, Mr Stanley Wariso,
has pledged to deliver the 2012 Governor’s Cup to the Local Government
Headquarters in Opobo Kingdom.
Wariso made the promise at the weekend during an interview
with Tidesport in Port Harcourt.
According to him, he would work to build a formidable team
that would effectively compete in the Governor’s Cup football competition and
deliver the trophy to Opobo Local Government Council.
“I will raise a tactically and technically sound team that
will bring the 2012 Governor’s Cup to the Opobo Kingdom,” he declared.
The recently appointed Director who is also the Director of
the Real Club Depeortivo (RCD) Academy Espanyol, Spain, also said that, he
would use his wealth of experience to build a well fortified team that will
bring glory to the Opobo Kingdom at the state and national level.
Meanwhile, the Governor’s Cup football competition is billed
to commence on 28th August this year. It is expected to be competed for among
the 23 Local Government Areas in Rivers State.
Wariso thanked the Chairman of the Opobo Nkoro Council Hon.
Maclean of the Bethel Uranta for appointing him to serve as the Technical
Director of the ONOLGA Football team.
“I am very happy and proud to support grassroots football in
my community,” he said.
