FRSC Holds Workshop On School Buses, Today
The Rivers State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) will today hold a workshop on the implementation of the approved guidelines for school buses in the state.
A release signed by the Head of operations, FRSC, F.O. Okweze indicates that, those expected to attend the workshop are private school proprietors, officials of the Rivers State Universal Basic Education (UBEC), school heads and education officials.
The release said that the workshop is part of the effort by the commission to ensure the full implementation of the guidelines, stressing that the situation is to arrest the hazardous means and ways by which school children are transported in the state.
“The progrmme is therefore meant to enlighten the various stakeholders on the nitty gritty of the scheme.
“This is to enhance the safety of our priceless school children it indicated.
