Four Bag RSSDA’s Millionaires Awards
Four entrepreneurs, have received outstanding awards as the best participants in the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency’s Grassroot Millionaires Entrepreneurship and Development Scheme.
The entrepreneurs received the award during the quarterly business forum organised by SEIGHA Associates Limited.
Speaking at the business forum held in Port Harcourt recently, the Managing consultant, SEIGHA Associate Limited (SAL) Mrs Felicia Omobo Dede said the forum was to appraise the performance of each participants and create a platform for interaction among participants to enable them share their ideas and experiences in the course of managing their own business enterprises.
Mrs Omobo Dede noted that the main objective of the programme is geared towards wealth creation, reduction of Rural/Urban migration, employment generation, self reliance and financial freedom.
Also speaking, head SME Development RSSDA, Mrs Sabena Akpe commended the effort of the consulting firm for their superversory and mentoring roles to the participants.
She disclosed that RSSDA is poised to reduce unemployment through creating avenues for self reliance and independence among youths in the state noting that the challenges confronting the scheme is lack of fund.
The awardees are Didi Marshall, Patrick Sebem, Adah Asulebari and Goodluck Kiri from Tai, Gokana and Okirika Local Government Areas respectively. They were chosen for having a business project investment in trading in super market and frozen foods.
The awardees expressed joy over the award adding that the programme has impacted positively on their lives even as they commended the effort of the state government, RSSDA and the consulting firm for giving them the opportunity to own their own business.
