Foundation Institutes Empowerment Scheme For Widows, Orphans

The Lucky Worluh Foundation, a Niger Delta based non governmental organisation, says it has set up an empowerment programme for widows and orphans in Rundele and other communities in Emohua Local Government Area.

The Executive Director of the foundation, Hon. Lucky Worluh who said this during the grand finale of the thanksgiving service after a one-week prayer programme for God’s mercy and forgiveness on the people of Rundele also said that the foundation would partner with churches and other religious organisations to endure the institutionalisation of the prayer nad thanksgiving service.

Mr. Worluh who is permanent Board Member I of the Rivers State Universal Basic Education (UBE) Board, said that the thanksgiving service was instituted to seek the intention of God in the affairs of Rundele?

He said that the programme has no political underline, stressing that inline with this, the programme would be made on annual event.

Meanwhile, the Rivers State Government says all crisis prone communities in the state would be starved of development projects.

The commissioner for chieftaincy and community affairs, Hon. Charles Okay who said this Sunday at Rundele in the Emohua Local Government Area, however, commended the people of Rundele for seeking the face of God.

Also speaking the state commissioner for Health, Dr. Sampson Parker stressed the need for the service to be made am annual event in the area.

In his speech the special Adviser to the Governor in Information and communication and Technology (ICT), Mr. Goodlife Nmekini said that time has come for the people to forgive one another in the interest of peace and Development of the area.
