Etisalat Subcribers Protest Airtime Losses

Subcribers in Port Harcourt the Rivers State capital have
berated Etisalat Nigeria over what they describe as indiscriminate
disappearance of airtime immediately after recharging.

Some of those who
spoke with The Tide over the week, said the network provider ought to break up
and live up to expectations.

According to them, the situation was worrisome as they where
considering joining other networks.

One who gave his name as Emmanuel, said that the 200.00 air
time he recharged was never reflected on his account, and urged its management
to always make public each of its promos or any change in service as to reduce
fear among its customers.

The middle aged man regretted that network providers in the
country were yet to offer their best to its teeming customers. He also noted
that the air time disappearance started since last week, adding that he now
lacks the courage to recharge his phone.

Others blamed the lapses of network operators in the country
on the inability of concerned agencies to use one scape goat for failing
subscribers for over eight years of operation in the country.

When the Etisalat office was contacted, one of its officers
said the alleged airtime disappearance was a misconception of its on going promo.
According to him, subscribers are rewarded with 100 percent value of each
airtime recharged, hinting that the amount will not be indicated on the phone.

The Tide learnt that the amount is usually withdrawn every
Sunday at midnight.
