The Technical Adviser of Dolphins FC of Port Harcourt Stanley Eguma, has attributed the 2-0 home loss against Lobi Stars FC to fatigue and poor officiating.

The Nigeria premier league defending champions, Dolphins experienced their first home defeat in this season on Wednesday, at Port Harcourt Liberation Stadium.

Eguma stated this in a telephone interview with Tidesports, yesterday, saying that Dolphins players suffered Fatique due to the long distance as they travelled from Kano to their base after the team played Kano Pillars at the weekend.

He explained that Dolphins played the match within 24 hours adding that development actually affected their level of performance.

“My players were having Fatique before they went into the field because after playing a very crucial match at the weekend they travelledling distance which was not easy.

He said that efforts to ensure that the Nigeria premier league (MPL) post-pound the match, were abortive.

“I must say that the referee also contributed immensely to our defeat, he was not fairtous at all he gave us one red and six yellow cards, besides, he disallowed on goal that me scored.

He  also said that the referee did not allow the game to flow as it was expected but quickly commended Lobi Stars players for their impressive performance.

“Lobi did well, scored good goals and put on good performance, i must commend their spirit”.

He, however, acknowledged team have not shown any evidence of defending the title, adding that no team was sure of winning the league title at this stage.
