Ondo State Assistant Taekwondo coach, Joshua Alabi, has said that the state’s
taekwondo practitioners were ‘battle ready’ to win laurels for the state at the
upcoming National Sports Festival.
The festival, tagged, “Eko 2012’’, will hold from November

Alabi told newmen in Akure that the state’s athletes had
been issued ‘state of the art equipment’ for their training, so as to motivate
them to improve on their performances.
“We have equipment that will bring out better performances
from our athletes. We will ensure that we win medals in all the categories we
are featuring in.
“If 20 athletes are required in the festival, we will field
them because we have amazing talents in the state and they are ready to bring
glory to our ‘sunshine state,” he said.
Afolabi Kolade, an Ondo State taekwondoist, said that they
were ready for the festival, stressing that they have trained to improve on
their performance at the Port Harcourt festival.
