18th NSF: Athletes Form Gives Rivers Hope
The current form of Rives State athletes is a cause for hope
to Team Rivers ahead of the 18th National Sports Festival billed to hold in
Lagos November this year.
Team Rivers recently concluded the first phase of camping
preparatory to the 18th National Sport fiesta.
According to the
Public Relations Offcier of Rivers State Sports Council, Mr Barisi Wifa,
the performance of the athletes during the camping exercise was encouraging as
they showed impressive form and commitment.
Wifa believes that with the overall performance and conduct
of the athletes, Team Rivers was set to retain its title as champions of the
National Sports Festival, which it won last year as hosts.
