The National Conscience Party (NCP), said last Wednesday that it was ready for a successful national convention in Osogbo, Osun, slated for last week.

Its FCT Chairman, Mr Collins Omonigho said this in Abuja in an interview with  newsmen.

Omonigho said the party had intensified effort by encouraging peaceful coexistence and internal democracy among the members to ensure a successful national convention.

The chairman said the convention would focus on the election of new executive members to run the affairs of the party.

He expressed optimism that the new set of national executive that would run the affair of the party for another three years would revitalise the party.

He also said that 25 members had so far bought forms for various positions during the convention and described the development as encouraging.

Omonigho urged the Federal Government to address insecurity in the country to stem its negative impact on the nation’s economy.

He stressed the need for the government to intensify efforts in creating “a society based on the principle of equity and solidarity for the progress of the country”.
