Ministries Of Power, Sports Go For HOS Cup Title …Women Compete In 4×100 ‘Morrow

Curtains will be drawn on the 2012 Rivers State Public Service Week tomorrow with the closing ceremony and grand finale of the civil service football competition, otherwise called the Head of Service, HOS Cup.

The venue is the Liberation Stadium, Port Harcourt, where the football event finalists, ministry of power and their Sports counterparts will battle for the title, trophy and prize at stake.

Also, the final of the Women’s competition, in the 4×100 metre relay race will be decided.

The football event is set to throw up a new champion as all winners in the past three editions failed to make it to the final stage this term.

It will be a first time out in the final for Ministry of Sport, who are desperate to get their hands on the trophy since the inception of the competition.

For Ministry of Power tomorrow presents an opportunity to make up for the disappointment of last year, when they fought gallantly but lost the final match via penalty shootout to the deposed champion, Ministry of Special Duties.
