Ex-Omuma Boss For Burial, Saturday
Former member of the House of Representatives and one time chairman of Omuma Local Government Area, Hon. Georgeford Chinyere Nwosu will be laid to rest this weekend.
According to a statement signed by the chief mourner and the first son of the deceased, Mr Noble Udo Nwosu on behalf of the Eze Nwosu and Umuomenewo family of Umuerim-Umuajuloke in Omuma Local Government Area of Rivers State, the burial programme will hold between Thursday, July 26 and Saturday, July 28, 2012 at his Umuerim Umuajuloke compound in Omuma.
Details about the burial programme would be released later.
It would be recalled that late Chief Georgeford Chinyere Nwosu died in a private hospital in India after a brief illness at the age of 56 years, last month.
Before his untimely death, late Chief Nowsu was Chimereze I of Etche Ethnic Nationality, a position he occupied till his death.
He was a Christian of the Apostolic Faith, a renowned philanthropist as well as a former Chairman and Caretaker Committee of Omuma local government council at different times, before proceeding to the National Assembly and represented Etche-Omuma Federal Constituency.
He will be missed by many for his astute political leadership in Omuma in particular and Etche ethnic nationality at large.
