Enugu Injects N126m Into Broadcast Stations
The Enugu State Government is to inject N126 million into its radio and television stations known as Enugu State Broadcasting Service (ESBS) to enhance the quality of their services.
The Commissioner for Information, Mr Chuks Ugwoke, said this last Wednesday after the State Executive Council’s meeting.
He told newsmen that the amount would facilitate the completion, rehabilitation and re-equipping of the main station of the Enugu State Broadcasting Service.
He said the broadcast stations would have three other sub-stations at ninth mile and hilltop in Ngwo and Nsukka.
“The Enugu State Executive Council today approved the sum of N126 million to complete structural work at the main station and three other sub-stations of ESBS.
“Work will be done at the gate house in ninth mile, fencing at Ngwo and Nsukka as well as other furnishing works.”
Ugwoke also announced that the council had approved the regularisation of appointment and employment of direct members of staff of the state’s Rural Water and Sanitation Agency (ENRUWASA).
He added that their names would be forwarded to the state civil service commission for appropriate action.
