Clerk Eulogises Rivers PASAN Games Team

The clerk of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Sir Emmanuel Ogele has lauded the efforts of the Rivers State House of Assembly Staff Sports team for their brilliant performance in the just concluded Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) games. Sir, Ogele commended the team on Friday in his office when the state Assembly Staff under the umbrella of PASAN presented him with a third place trophy and medal won at the second edition of PASAN Games held in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The clerk who eulogised the Assembly Team Rivers for their hard work, commitment and good conduct at the games, noted that their attitude has gone a long way to improve the image of the Assembly and that of the state.

He described their performance and the presentation of the trophy to him as remarkable and promised to relay their impressive outing to the Speaker Rt Hon. Otelemaba Amachree who provided the conducive atmosphere for them to operate.

Sir, Ogele assured that the Assembly would be ready to assist them in subsequent editions of the sports fiesta, having performed creditably in their first outing.

In his remark, the Director of Legal Services at the Assembly Mr Ebere Eke, urged the leadership of PASAN to equally put similar effort that made them win laurels at the games to better workers’ welfare.

Mr Eke further, commended Team Rivers Assembly for the commitment and competitive spirit which enabled them to win the Bronze trophy inspite of poor preparations.

The chairman of Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) in the state, Mr. Louis Okeleke, said the team participated in three events namely, football, Table Tennis and Badminton.

Okeleke, who said the state participated in the games for the first time said they came home with third prize in football and placed second in  table tennis.

He thanked the speaker and clerk for to take part in the games and facilitated healthy interaction with their counter parts and requested the state Assembly to bid for the hosting of he next edition.
