Church Donates Health Centre To Community
As Part of efforts towards improving the healthcare needs of Nigerians, a religious organisation, Omega Power Ministry (OPM) Port Harcourt, has donated a health centre to the Ohanku-Ndoki, community of Abia State.
The General Overseer of the Ministry, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere who spoke to newsmen during the commissioning ceremony said the primary healthcare centre would save the people of Ohanku and the surrounding communities from the agony of travelling to distant places for medical treatment.
Apostle Chinyere urged the people to report any doctor or nurse in the centre that would demand for money before treatment, as services in the centre would be free.
According to him, the church was committed to ensuring that those who make use of the facility were given quality treatment. He said he has the vision of building a bigger hospital that would accommodate more people.
He further said that plans were underway to establish a company in the community to provide employment for the people.
The chairman of the Ndoki Council of Traditional Rulers HRH, Eze Elekwachi Okese, thanked Apostle Chinyere for the gesture, stressing that his activities had again restored the hope of the people for a better future.
The traditional ruler prayed God to replenish the donor’s purse and urged other churches to emulate OPM.
In his speech, the president of Divine Distribution Group, Mr. Obarilomate Ollar thanked he General Overseer for coming back home and urged more support to the church.
A cross section of the people who spoke to newsmen thanked God for using Apostle Chinyere to alleviate their sufferings through the provision of the OPM health and maternity centres .
