Rep Empowers Constituents

Over 30 persons from Asari-Toru and Akuku-Toru Federal Constituency in Rivers State, have benefited from the empowerment programme organised for the people of the area by the lawmaker representing the constituency, Hon. Dawari to George.

The programme, which was organised Saturday at Abonnema town, the headquarter of the constituency, delivered items worth millions of naira, like dry clean used machines, sowing machines, computer sets, block moulding machines, freezes, clippers and generators among others to beneficiaries.

The lawmaker, Hon. George said the empowerment programme was part of his promises made during the electioneering campaign in  2011.

According to him, the empowerment programme would be coming in phases, saying that the next phase of the empowerment would be held in the next six months in the area.

Hon. George urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the items to better their lives, no matter the values of the items.

He said, nothing was too small for a determined, committed person to build up his or herself  to alleviate poverty in life.

Hon. George reiterated his commitment to deliver   the people the dividend of democracy.

He used the opportunity to urge the youths in the area to be perfect law abiding citizens, as the only attractive avenue for development in the area.
