Philanthropist Tips Nigeria To Beat Malawi ’Morrow
As the Super Eagles of Nigeria confront their Malawian counterparts in the on-going World Cup qualifier tomorrow, a sports philanthropist, Chief Christopher Okonkwo has declared that if the Stephen Keshi-led team could replicate their performance against Namibia, the Super Eagles will come out victorious.
Chief Okonkwo, who bared his mind in an interview with sports journalists in his office in Port Harcourt said he was impressed with the performance of the players as they won their first match against the Brave Worriors of Nambia 1-0 in Calabar, Cross River State last weekend.
He advised the players to put in their best from start to finish, stressing that, “if they replicate the performance they put up against Namibia in this weekend’s cracker against Malawi, and utilise their glowing opportunities, victory is certain for Nigeria”.
The sports philanthropist also advised that the Keshi-led technical crew should consider using the squad against Namibia when they slug it out with Malawi in Blentyre, because they have brighter prospects and chances of making the country proud.
He believed the home-based professional players justified their inclusion in the game, with brilliant showings to suggest that their future is bright.
