NAOC Donates Medical Equipment To Community

As part of efforts to enhance healthcare delivery in the host communities, the Nigerian Agip Oil Company and its joint venture partners, have donated Medical Laboratory equipment/ Chemicals to Epebu Community in Ogbia local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

Presenting the items to the Community leader at the Agip new base in Port Harcourt, last Tuesday, NAOC General Manager, District, Giovanni Salvini, represented by the Public Relations, Communication and Government Laison Manager, Prince Nwachukwu Obi, said that the donation is in fulfillment of the enshrined terms of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the people of Epebu and the company.

He assured that NAOC and its joint venture partners will continue to partner in the development of the host communities, Epebu Community in particular and Ogbia in general, through the provision of infrastructure and rural development amenities.

While urging the people of Epebu Community to reciprocate the gesture, by maintaining a peaceful and enabling environment for the company’s oil operations to thrive, he noted that the gresture will further cement the existing cordinal relationship between the company and the people.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Paramount Ruler of Epebu Community, the Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman, Dema Daufa, Commended Agip for their efforts towards boosting healthcare delivery in the area.

He charged the State government to be involved in this direction and also recognise the efforts of the Agip oil company in complementing its responsibilities towards improving the living standard of the rural dwellers.

He promised that the Community will continue to parley and maintain the existing cordial relationship between the company and the people.
