The Head of Environmental Department in Bwari Area Council Mr Labaran Haruna, said that Dutse market would be relocated soon by the FCT Administration to ease traffic flow.

Haruna said  in Bwari on Thursday in an interview.

He said that the relocation was necessary because of the traffic jam at the Dutse Alhaji first gate that often hindered movements of Kubwa and Bwari residents.

He said that traders who displayed their wares by the side of the road often occupied the space meant for vehicles, thereby causing traffic jam in the area.

Haruna appealed to residents for patience as the FCT administration would soon carry out the relocation exercise.

He called on owners of undeveloped plots of lands in the council to either lay a foundation on their plots or build a fence around them immediately.

He said that the council would soon revoke ownerships of abandoned plots of land that had been turned to refuse dump sites.

Haruna said that the revocation was ordered by the FCT Minister of State to ensure good sanitation practice.
