Cool FM/Wazobia Boss Advises Fans On Sportsmanship

The Head of Stations Cool FM/Wazobia Radio Stations in Port Harcourt, Aduratonni Bolade, has advised football fans in Nigeria to exhibit the spirit of sportsmanship at all time.

Bolade, gave the advice in an exclusive interview with Tidesports at the football fans fiesta organised by the station, at the Lessuka event center Port Harcourt, at the weekend.

He explained that the major reason behind the event was to bring football fans together and promote peace in the state.

According to him, the stations is not only promoting foreign clubs, but also Nigerian clubs.

“We are looking at ways of bringing football fans together, so that there will be relative peace at our viewing centres.

‘If you look around, people do not wear only foreign clubs jersies, but also Nigerian clubs, like Enyimba,  Heartland, Dolphins, Sharks etc”, Bolade said.

The Head of Stations revealed that next year, they are going to re-work their concept and improve on their entertainment line-up, by bringing more popular musicians and comedians within and outside the state.

“Our plan is to rework our concept and improve on our entertainment and add pep to the event in the third edition, as what we are doing today is the second edition” he stated.

Also speaking, Head of News in the Stations, Blessing Olomo said the event was well packaged, even though attendance was not as high as last  year.

“You know we cannot really predict an event, because there are lot of events going on now, but I believe that the attendances is still encouraging”, Olomo said.

Also, speaking, the Head of Events, Kelvin Ogbodo said that the event was borne out of the popularity of their stations’ sports programmes.

According to him, the event was also to add social life to football fans in and outside Port Harcourt.

“We promise that next year, there will be an improved line up in our programmes”, Ogbodo said.
