Aviation: Cleric Laments Poor Maintenance Culture
A cleric, Most Rev Mike Onuoha, has called on the Ministry of Aviation to ensure that regular maintenance culture is carried out on all domestic airlines to ensure safety at all time in the Aviation Industry.
The Senior Pastor in-charge of St Paul’s United Spiritual Church of Christ, Umuekpe, in Abia State Most Rev Onuoha, expressed sadness over the devastating effect of the crashed Dana Airline on families of those victims.
He attributed the crash to lack of proper and regular services and well as maintenance culture by the operations as well as the authorities, and cautioned that any airline that failed to maintaining their aircrafts should be blacklisted.
The man of God while conducting national prayer for the tragedies that are confronting the nation, ranging from ethnic crisis, to Boko Haram bombing of public places in the North, called on Christians to be prayerful and be vigilant at all times.
Most Rev Onuoha on behalf of the church community, condoled president Goodluck Jonathan and members of the families who lost their loved ones in the plane crash and last Sunday’s bomb-blast in Jos and Plateau to take solace in God.
Later in a chat with newsmen, he prophesised a heavy wind storm in Lagos and Ogun States this June and charged Christians from these states to pray fervently for God’s intervention.
He called for the leadership of this country to draw closer to God as the present predicaments calls for sober reflection.
Meanwhile, St Paul’s United Spiritual Church of Christ, Umuekpe last Sunday held their annual Apostle’s Day and pontification special service, which culminated in various church activities including the pontification service of Apostle Mike Onuoha to Most Revened and as the General Overseer of the church.
