All Stars Task Bayelsa United On Continental Ticket
All Stars International FC of Yenagoa, has challenged Bayelsa United FC of Yenagoa, to pick a continental championship ticket next season as they basked in the euphoria of their qualification for the elite league.
The leadership and members of the All Stars International FC, threw the challenge when it hosted the technical crew of Bayelsa United, led by the Adviser, Diepreye Teibowei.
A former member of the NFA, Dr. Peter Singabele, who represented the All Stars FC Chairman, Mr Moses Teibowei, commended the United’s technical team and the players for their promotion to the Nigeria Premier League, in spite of their financial challenges.
Singabele, who is also the Permanent Secretary in the Bayelsa Ministry of Commerce, said: “If those in charge of the team had worked so hard to bring the team to where it belongs, there is the need to say thank you.
“That is why we are hosting you today. I know they passed through hard times. I know there were lots of internal problems facing the management and players, but in spite of that, you were able to sail through.”
Singabele said hosting the team was part of All Stars stakeholders’ role in supporting the Bayelsa United in the pursuit of laurels for the state and the nation.
He called on other sectors to give the team the needed support for it to excel during the Premier League next season.
“As we go into the new season, it is our prayer that you are able to get a continental ticket for us. I can assure you that All Stars, under the leadership of our dynamic leader, Moses Teibowei and his co-elders, will give you the needed support.”
Responding on behalf of the Bayelsa FC management and players, the Technical Adviser, Coach Diepreye Teibowei, lauded All Stars International FC for the gesture and promised to do their best next season.
Teibowei expressed gratitude to the state Governor, Siriake Dickson and the Commissioner for Sports, Chief Mieteme Obordo, for supporting the team.
