Air Assault Open Golf Tourney Tees-Off, October

All is now set for the kick-off of the 2012 Air Assault Open Golf Championship in Port Harcourt.

The chairman of the tournament organizing committee, Mr Sam Nwankwo, who disclosed this to sports journalists in Port Harcourt said the championship will tee-off on October 15 while t he grand finale is expected to take place on October 18, with presentation of prizes to winners among others, as highlights of the event.

According to him, the tournament promises to be a memorable and remarkable one as preparation are in top gear to stage the best tournament in the annals of the club.

Mr Nwankwo, who is a victory member of Air Assault Golf Club, Port Harcourt said the tournament is expected to attract top golfers across t he continent especially in the professional category.

“We have been working very hard to ensure that we organize a remarkable golf tournament and incidentally, this year marks the 25th anniversary of the club and the tournament will be used to mark t he anniversary”, he said.

He however, called on multi-nationals and corporate organizations to support the championship as it would serve as a platform to advertise their companies.
