TheTide NUJ Congratulates Osueke, Condoles Enyie’s Family

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), The Tide chapel, has congratulated one of its members, Dr. Desmond Osueke, Editor, Research and Training, Rivers State Newspaper Corporation (RSNC) on the recent award of Doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph.D) in Development Communication obtained from the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

In a joint statement signed by the Chairman, Mr. Felix Okogbule and the Secretary, Akujobi Amadi, the union described the award as a true manifestation of long term hard work anchored on personal commitment and dedication towards the development of the society.

The statement added that the award has brought honour and pride to The Tide NUJ family and indeed, the entire Rivers State Newspaper Corporation.

The statement further prayed Almighty God to continue to grant him more honours in his further endeavours.

Meanwhile, the union has commiserated with its member, Barrister John Chidi Enyie, Chief Sub-Editor, Rivers State Newspaper Corporation over the death of his mother, Mrs Charity Nneda Enyie who died at the age of 65 years old.

In a joint statement signed by the Chairman, Mr. Felix Okogbule and Secretary, Mr. Akujobi Amadi, the union described the death of Mrs. Charity Nneda Enyie as unfortunate, noting that she died at the time when her motherly advice was most needed by her immediate family and society at large.

The statement however said that Mrs Charity Nneda Enyie lived a fulfilled life worthy of emulation and urged the bereaved families to sustain the good legacies left behind by their late mother.

The statement prayed God to grant the bereaved families the fortitude to bear the loss.

The statement further urged members of the NUJ Tide Chapel to participate in the burial programmes slated for Saturday 26th May at her home town, Omuibo Egbeda in Emohua Local Government Area, of Rivers State.
