Police Arrest Four Suspects Over Officers Murder

The Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Ebere Amaraizu, says the command has arrested four suspects in connection with the killing of a police officer.

Amaraizu said on Monday in a telephone interview in Enugu, that the four suspects were currently in police custody for further investigations.

According to him, the suspects are helping the police in their investigations and assured that they are making revelations.

He said that the command was on top of the matter, adding that the police would get to the root of it.

The Divisional Police Officer of Oji River, Mr Okey Ofoedu,was shot dead by unknown gun men on April 28 while returning from an engagement.

Ofoedu was killed by the gunmen along Ojinator on the Awka-Oji River Old Road by ROI Filling Station.
