Chime Laments Bafyau’s Death
Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu state has lamented the death of former President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Pascal Bafyau, saying the nation has lost yet another patriot and a true believer in national advancement.
Chime in a message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Chukwudi Achife, and made available to newsmen in Enugu said that Bafyau fought the cause of the common man with vigour and dedication while advocating the enthronement of democracy and the rule of law in the country.
While commiserating with the family of the late statesman and the organised labour in Nigeria, the Governor urged them to find solace in the positive contributions the former labour leader had made to the development of the nation especially during his time as the President of the apex labour body.
He further urged them to honour the deceased by consolidating on the worthy legacies he left behind.
