The Action Alliance (AA) candidate in the recently concluded Rivers East senatorial election, Mr. Michael Chizi Atata, has blamed the high level of under development in the country on bad leadership.

Mr. Atata, who said this shortly after the inauguration of Rivers State Chapter of the Concerned Ministers and Christian Forum in Port Harcourt, however, urged Christians to rise up to checkmate the activities of  these evil men in power.”

He urged that, as members of the society, Christians must get involved in politics as that would enable them to contribute towards the enthronement of government that is righteous –based.

The former senatorial candidate thanked the members for their desire to change the affairs of the society and urged them to reach-out to Christians in all denominations across the state.

He also pledged his support to the Association and urged others to do so.

The president of the forum, Rev. Godswill E.D. Jumbo, however, noted that the body is not partisan, but will rally Christians to ensure good governance in the country.

Rev. Jumbo also urged members to refrain from acts that will bring shame to the body and the entire Christian community in the state.
