The governorship candidate of the Change Advocacy Party (CAP) in Bayelsa State in last month’s governorship election, Dr Imoru Kubor, said he went to election petition tribunal because he won the election.

Dr Kubor, who left the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to contest the election, noted that he would “pursue the case to the end”.

Kubor, a retired Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Chairman Board of Directors, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) noted that he was denied the mandate given to him by the people of Bayelsa, explaining that he will not relent until justice was restored.

The FAAN boss commended his supporters for their support, noting that he went into politics to help develop his area, especially Bayelsa State.

He also urged the President Dr Goodluck Jonathan to work tirelessly to develop the Niger Delta States which have been neglected for long, and other states of the country.

Dr Kubor also said the election of Dr Sam Sam Jaja as the National Deputy Chairman of the party was a welcome development and urged Dr Jaja to help the president to achieve the idea of making the nation great.

Dr Kubor was the chairman board of director of FAAN between 2007 and 2008 and had held several positions. He retired from the service in 2008.
