Victory Over Tornadoes Gladdens Dolphins Coach

Dolphins FC on Wednesday struggled to overcome Niger Tornadoes 2-1 at the Liberation Stadium, Port Harcourt, coming from behind to grab maximum points in the rescheduled Premier League encounter.

After the match however, Dolphins Coach, Stanley Eguma said that rains, which fell that day affected his team, coupled with fatigue resulting from their journey back from Gaaroua, Cameroon for their CAF champions league match.

Also, he said that he had little time to prepare his team for the Tornadoes game.

But he expressed happiness over the victory that ensured maximum points for his team.

According to him, eh was happy with the victory, especially, the spirit of fighting back from the important thing was to grab the maximum points at stake.

“I am happy with the win. It was difficult with the rains and water logged pitch. The fact is that we returned from Cameroun late and it was strenuous on my players. But I am happy that we showed good character to eventually win,” Eugma said.

Also speaking the coach of Niger Tornadoes FC, Justin Tenger commended Dolphins over their performance, saying that the team was a better side in the second half.
