The Assistant Coach of Rivers Angels FC of Port Harcourt, Mr Whyte Ogbondah, has commended the outstanding performance of his players so far in the on-going 2012 women premier league.

Ogbondah made the commendation at the Port Harcourt Liberation Stadium shortly after the week five match played between Rivers Angels and Delta Queens of Asaba, recently.

According to him, his team put up an outstanding performance against a strong side like delta Queens, beating them 1-0 after a keenly contested 90 minutes battle.

“My  girls put up an outstanding performance against Delta Queens. I am really impressed,” coach ogbondah said.

Rivers Angels have now maintained a 100 per cent start to the season after taking fifteen points from their first five matches.

Meanwhile, the match saw the home side entertain spectators in each half of the match as they stretched their unbeaten streak to five games this season.

The only goal of the match came from Ngozi Ebere, who ensured victory for her side with a neatly taken free-kick in the first half.

It will be recalled that the Angels vowed to win the league and challenge cup titles this season.
