Organising Secretaries Pledge Better Sports For Rivers
The newly inaugurated chairman of the Organising Secretaries Association of Rivers State Sports Council, Christopher Fubara has pledged to take the body to a greater height.
Fubara made the promise during his inauguration held at the Alfred Diette-Spiff Sports complex in Port Harcourt recently.
According to him, the body which is in charge of organising sporting events of the various sporting occasions in the Rivers State Sports council, is now aspiring to do better in putting together for the council.
“I promise to move the body to the next level in order to achieve the best in terms of planning and executing programmes and to ensure that things are in their proper shape”, he said.
Meanwhile, those inaugurated alongside Fubara include Samuel Koote, as Secretary, Mrs Ngowari Kio, Assistant Secretary and Emma Jaja, as Financial Secretary.
Others are Mrs Stella Kingoli, Treasurer while Elder Tekena Pokubo is Provost of the Organising Secretary’s Committee.
The new executives are expected to serve the body for two years.
