Man In Court For Theft Of Pastor’s Cara
A middle aged man, Prince Uloma Keke, has been arraigned before a Port Harcourt Chief Magistrate Court presided over by E. C. Woke for allegedly stealing a Toyota Camry Saloon car belonging to a clergy man.
The accused person, Prince Uloma Keke 24, is standing trial on a one count charge of stealing and snatching.
The prosecuting police Officer, Inspector Godwin Nwinam alleged that the accused person and others at large on the 2nd of February, 2012 at Victoria Street within the jurisdiction of the Port Harcourt Magisterial District stole a Toyota Camry Saloon car (2001 model) belonging to Pastor Ojo J. Toyin.
The prosecution further alleged that the stolen car is valued at one million, six hundred thousand naira only (N1.6m), adding that the accused person and others at large committed an offence punishable under Section 390 (8) b, (9) of the Criminal Code Cap 37, Vol. 11, laws of Rivers State of Nigeria 1999.
The presiding chief magistrate, E. C. Woke granted the accused bail to the tune of N100,000 two sureties, possessing a landed property and should be a civil servant on grade level 12 and above.
The case was later adjourned to May 22, 2012 for further hearing.
