Lagos Rugby Union League Begins, Sunday
The Lagos Rugby Union League, sponsored annually by the Friends of Rugby, will begin the 2012 season on April 14, the organisers have said.
Union spokesman Ntiense Williams told newsmen in Lagos that it had completed plans to start the competition which would feature six clubs.
He said the league, which had been running for the past six years, could not hold last year because of logistical problems.
According to Williams, the competition will hold at the National Stadium, Lagos.
He said three matches would be played at the venue each fortnight and that no fewer than 30 matches would be played in the competition from April to September.
The finals would be played later in December.
