Keshi, NFF To Decide On Venue For Eagles
Stephen Keshi and the Nigeria Football Federation will next week decide where the Super Eagles will prosecute their June qualifiers.
June will see a busy month of three qualifying games, with two of those at home. Kaduna had already been pencilled down as venue, but with the NFF have been forced into a rethink in the wake of the unstable security situation up north.
Calabar and Ibadan have emerged as venues with Abuja also being considered.
“No decision has been made yet,” NFF Executive Committee member told newsmen. “We have had a team inspecting the various stadia and we will make a recommendation to the board. We are also looking at Abuja, and they’re working on renovating the playing turf.
“The board will make a decision in consultation with coach Stephen Keshi and next week a decision will be taken on where the match will be played.”
