Firm Extols Jesseys Deals With Enyimba, 3SC

As part of its contribution to the growth of Sports in Nigeria, Guinness Nigeria Plc via one of its products, Dubic Extra Lager, has signed a multi-million naira jessey sponsorship deal with Enyimba International Football Club and Shooting Stars Football Club of Ibadan.

In a press statement, the Marketing Director, Guinness Nigeria Plc, Mr Ruairi Twomey explained that as part of the deal, selected players of the clubs were signed on as brand ambassadors, adding that the sponsorship deal is one of the ways the company could contributes to the growth of football in Nigeria.

According to him, “We are really excited with the deal.  We have taken on two foremost clubs in the history of Nigeria Football”.

Twomey, while speaking on the shirt deals said that it was a way to connect with the consumers of the brand using a platform they love best.

“Football remains a major attraction amongst our consumers and our consumers in Aba and Ibadan are supporters of these two great clubs.

The marketing director of the firm explained that the company found the legacy of heritage in Enyimba International Football Club of Aba and Shooting Stars of Ibadan, adding that Enyimba Football Club was the first club that has won the CAF Champions League, while Shooting Stars remains a great club with tradition and large followership.

He said that Guinness Nigeria Plc is proud to associate with these two teams.

Meanwhile, the Sports Chairman of Enyimba Chief Felix Anyansi-Agwu has expressed commitment to show ensuring the brand and urged other corporate bodies to emulate Guinness Nigeria Plc in contributing their quota to the growth of football in Nigeria.
