The District Superintendent of Assemblies of God Church, Rivers District, Rev (Dr) Daddy Ibulubo, has blamed the underdevelopment of the country on corruption, greed and selfishness.

Rev. Ibulubo who was speaking with The Tide, Wednesday in Port Harcourt, reiterated the need for leaders and members of the society to embrace the love of Christ and eschew self-centered leadership.

The superintendent who also reflected on the Christian celebration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ at Easter noted that the celebration of Easter will not be complete if the ideals of the season did not reflect in our life styles.

Ibulubo stated that these ideals, which include love and sacrifice should form the basis of Easter celebration , adding that embracing this core message of Easter will end the societal ills experienced in recent time.

In a related development, the senior minister in charge of Assemblies of God, Silver Valley, Rev. Josef Kalu described as gallant the effort, made by his predecessors, Rev. Dr. Douglas Damte, Rev Effiong Effiong, Rev. Chidibere Okezie and Rev. John Benneth.

Rev. Kalu made this known during the send forth of the four ministers at Silver Valley church premises.

In his address, the church secretary, Barrister Chika Igbokwe commended the ministers for the leadership abilities which has taken the church to greater height.

Responding, the former senior minister, Rev. Damte commended the church for their appreciation and called on all Christian to serve God sincerely.
