Ambassador FC Maintains Top Position In Amateur League

The National Amateur Football League Leaders, Ambassador Football Club of Port Harcourt maintain their fine run in the amateur at the weekend as the team played goaless draw with Akwa Starlet Football club of Akwa-Ibom.

The encounter which took place at Sharks Stadium, Port Harcourt last Friday saw the hoist miss so many scoring chances as the visitors’ defence posed a difficult challenge to the flower s.

According to the Team Manager, Mr Emeka Levi though the match ended goaless we was happy for maintaining the lead on this leg.

“We are happy for the result because we are still tapping the table, though everybody expects a better result than this, but there is nothing we can do to change the situation today,” Emeka said.

He also said that what mattered most was how the team could gain promotion to the national pro-division one league after this season. “The players are battle ready to face the challenges till the end of the competition,” Emeka stated.
