Victory House Wins Wisdom Child Inter-House Meet

Victory House has emerged overall winners of the 3rd Bi-Annual Inter House Sports/Athletics Competition of Wisdom Child International Group of Schools, Borikiri, Port Harcouirt.

The Competition which took place at the Enitonia High School Field, Borikiri over the weekend saw the winners scored 215 points, while Redemption House, and Immaculate House came second and third with 208 and 183 points, respectively.

Speaking at the ceremony, the chairman of the occasion, Mrs Julie Ogbonna enjoined the parents to ensure that their children’s educational career given a priority, saying that is important to save for their academic excellence by opening a bank account for their future.

Mrs Ogbonna, further urged the children to put in their best in academic and sports. She urged them to have the spirit of sportsmanship during the meet, while also calling on the teachers to instill moral discipline in their pupils.

Earlier, the proprietress of the school, Mrs Edith Daopuye said sports helps develop mentally and physically.

She said that sports people should be able to accept defeat and celebrate victory as “these lessons later become building blocks of success in life.”

Mrs Daopuye advised the students and pupils to do their best and compete in the spirit of sportsmanship and fair-play.
