Team Manager of Rivers Angels FC of Port Harcourt, Matilda Otuene has said that her team would sustain its impressive performance against Bayelsa Queens in the opening fixture of the 2011/2012  Nigeria Women Premier football league.

The Angels overran the Queens 3-1 at the Liberation Stadium at the weekend.

According to Otuene, the Angels have all it takes to sustain their performance in the opening match of the league, saying that, the Angels were determined to win the league and FA cup this season.

“the fact that we have a national coach in the team is a plus for us and that tells the standard of players we have.

Rivers Angels, Ngozi Ebere scored the opening goal of the game in the 18th minute via a free-kick, while Amaze Aigbewi got the second and third goals in the 21st and 25th minute of the first half.

Bayelsa Queens later pulled one back in the 85th minute through Blessing Dalio.
