Rivers Angels’ TM Happy With Team’s Performancea
Team manager of Rivers Angels FC of Port Harcourt, Matilda Otuene, has expressed satisfaction with the performance of the players in the 2012 National Women Premier League.
Otuene made this known after the Week Two match played between Rivers Angels FC and Robo FC of Lagos State at the Teslin Balogun Stadium, Lagos.
According to her the girls have been doing very well having won their two games played so far this season saying that, the Angels have shown that they are ready for the league title.
“We are going for the double that is our target this season. We hope to win more matches to get there,” she said.
Rivers Angels FC defeated FC Robo of Lagos 1-0 last weekend in Lagos to grab all three points at stake in the match.
The only goal in the game came from Ibinabo George in the second half of the game.
It would be recalled that the Angels won their match with Bayelsa Queens FC by 3-1 victory, and with this 1-0 win against FC Robo of Lagos, the Angels are now on six points in the two weeks old Nigerian Women Professional League.
