Princewill Tips AC Women For Appointment
Governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi, may appoint Dr Edith Wele Amadi, the state’s coordinator of former vice president and Presidential Aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubukar as a Special Adviser.
A chieftain of the PDP in Rivers State, Prince Tonye Princewill who disclosed this in Port Harcourt on Monday said Dr Wele Amadi was among those already nominated for screening by the State House of Assembly.
Princewill, a former Action Congress (AC) leader in Rivers State who joined the ruling PDP with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar before the 2011 election, said the nomination of the former AC women leader in the state was based on her grassroots mobilization and dedication to team work.
The Tide gathered that Dr Wele Amadi was the only female state coordinator of the Atiku Campaign Organisation during the campaign to the presidential primaries of the PDP in February 2011.
