Obi Assures On Projects Completion

Governor  Peter Obi of Anambra State has reassured the people of the state that all ongoing projects would be completed before the end of his administration.

Obi gave the assurance while addressing the people of Ufuma in Orumba North Local Government Area after inspecting the Umuonyiuka-Umuogene –Nwadiana road on Thursday.

The governor said the project was on course and that the bridge component had been completed .

He lamented the deplorable condition of the road before his administration embarked on its reconstruction and assured the people of accelerated work pace on the road to ensure early completion as the government was not owing the contractor.

Obi expressed delight with the people for their support for his administration and his party, APGA.

Also speaking, the traditional Prime Minister of Ufuma, Chief Ikechukwu Ogukwe, extolled the governor for the unique care he gave to Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu while in hospital in London.

He also commended Obi for giving the departed Igbo leader “the most celebrated burial and honor in this country”.

Also, the President General of the community development association, Chief Joseph Mogbo, thanked the governor for extending various development projects to the community and carrying them along.

Mogbo assured the governor that they will give APGA a landslide victory in coming elections.

Meanwhile, Governor Obi has presented a certificate of recognition to the new traditional ruler of Obosi, Igwe Chukwudubem Iweka.

Presenting the certificate to the ruler in Awka, Obi expressed satisfaction that Iweka was selected in line with the customary law and provisions of the traditional rulers’ law of the state.

He enjoined the new traditional ruler to take full control of the community and come up with decisions that would return it to the former status of greatness.
