NAMA, NAF Partner On Personnel Training
The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has expressed its willingness to partner with Nigerian Air Force (NAF) in enhancing the training of its personnel at the designated airports in the country.
The Managing Director of NAMA, Nnamdi Udo gave the assurance when he played host to the Military Airport commandant of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, Wing Commander Nasiru Babatunde Folaji.
He said that the agency had already donated VOR (Voice Omnidirectional Radio) equipment for NAF’s use at Makurdi Airport, adding that the installation of the equipment would commence soon.
He also mentioned that the International Airport had been upgraded to accommodate the licensing training needs of NAF, stressing that the upgrade would allow for more Air Force Personnel to be trained without interference with civil operations.
In his speech, the Military Airport Commandant, Wing Commander Folaji expressed satisfaction with the long-standing relationship his office had enjoyed from NAMA management, especially in the area of on-the-job Training for NAF engineers and air traffic controllers.
Meanwhile Miss Nneoma Ike-Njoku of Loyola Jesuit College in Abuja has won the essay competition organised by German Lufthansa Airlines as part of its 50th anniversary of flying between Nigeria and Germany.
