Ikuru Lauds Peaceful PDP Congress

Rivers State Deputy Governor, Engr Tele Ikuru commended the people of Andoni Local Government Area for their peaceful conduct during the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) local government congress held last Saturday.

Engr. Ikuru who made the commendation during the congress in the area, expressed happiness over the large turnout of party members during the congress in the area.

The Deputy Governor noted that the peaceful exercise in the area would go a long way in building a strong party and deepen the values of the party to excel in subsequent election in the area.

He lauded the party leaders and stakeholders for giving equal opportunity for everybody to have a sense of belonging and expressed, optimism that the peaceful congress would go a long way to strengthen the party in the area and state in general.

The Deputy Governor appealed to those who emerged as new party executive members in the area to consistently follow the party’s rules and regulation in discharge of their duties in politics warning that they were not elected to create division, but to build the party for sustainable democracy in the area.

However, the chairman and the secretary of the party in the area, Hon Victor Ere and Paul Ayagwung respectively were unanimously reelected for second term, while the vice chairman, Mr Ignatius Bara was replaced by Hon Gogo Emmanuel Eneyo.
