Members of the Total Elf Nigerian Limited Superlunary Police Officers recently sacked from the employment of the company have threatened to go to the Supreme Court over the ruling of the Port Harcourt Court of Appeal which declared them as employees of the Nigerian Police Force.

The leader of the sacked Spy Police Officers, Mr. Tovi Imoladen told newsmen shortly after the ruling that the situation amounted to prejudging that is before the lower court.

The appellant court, in a unanimous judgement Thursday, said that Total Elf cannot  be held liable for the dismissal of the spy police officers.

According to the court, “their dismissal was not by Total, but by police force and superlunary police are employees of the police force and so when somebody dismisses somebody, another person cannot be ordered to restore him and on the bases of that, I found the appeal meritorious.

“I allowed the appeal” the court declared.

Mr. Imoladen however, expressed dissatisfaction with the entire ruling.

“We are dissatisfied, we entirely reject the judgment and we are going to execute our right of appeal to the Supreme Court.”

He wondered why the Nigerian Police Force should come in, when  their recruitment was based on an advertorial in 2000 by the company.

Counsel to the spy police officers, Barrister Hamilton Morrison said that his clients would appeal the judgment to the Supreme Court, noting that the judgment will be studied with a view to taking appropriate step.
