A former Super Eagles coach, Christian Chukwu, has advised the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) to carry everybody along to sustain the recent peace brokered in the soccer family last week.

Chukwu told newsmen in Port Harcourt that the peace brokered between the NFA and the former President of the Nigerian Referees Association was overdue.

The former captain of the Green Eagles urged the NFA to sustain the peace by carrying everybody in the football family along.

“My advice to the NFA is to try as much as possible to and carry everybody along.

“There is no victor, no vanquished; so, let us move ahead, it is a big field that can contain everybody.”

Chukwu said that litigations were a set back to the nation’s football.

“We need peace in our football so that our football can progress. We cannot succeed under litigations – from this litigation to that litigation.

“So, I think everybody is happy now that the peace has been brokered and then we now concentrate on our football.’

He said that stakeholders should use the new found peace in the nation’s football to work as one family.

“Nigeria is blessed with so many talents and this is an opportunity to develop the talents for the future.”
