The Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA), in conjunction with New Dawn Economic Foundation (NDEF), has presented vehicles to beneficiaries  of its Grassroots Millionaires Scheme (GRAMS).

Speaking during the presentation of the vehicles in his office in Port Harcourt, the Executive Director of the Agency, Mr. Noble Pepple said that the scheme was in line with the commitment of the State Governor, Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to create  grassroots millionaires in the State.

Mr. Pepple urged the five beneficiaries to see themselves as role models for others,  stressing that the success of the scheme depended on the management of the buses.

According to him, for the RSSDA and NDEF to succeed, the beneficiaries must show commitment in the operation of the vehicles given to them by the two partners.

Also speaking, the Director  of New Dawn Economic  Foundation (NDEF), Mr.  Bethel Odocha  said that the Grassroots Millionaires programme was intended to develop 147 young entrepreneurs drawn from the 23 local government areas of the state.

Mr, Odocha said that two of the buses  were purchased  by the Rivers  State Sustainable Development Agency, while the rest two were provided by NDEF to support the scheme.

Speaking in an interview with newsmen, Miss Moses Ichuba,  one of the beneficiaries from Degema Local Government Area said that they were happy for being involved in the programme.
